Toast with salmon and avocado

There is my version of the recipe famous avocado homemade marinated salmon toast with cream cheese, salad leaves, and capers:

Homemade marinated salmon

Ingredients:

  • 400 gram fresh salmon fish filet
  • 5 gr see salt
  • 2 gr sugar
  • juice of half a freshly squeezed lemon
  • 1 shallot
  • Dill
  • Pepper

Instructions:

1. Clean the skins of any

2. Sliced salmon to stripes thick 5 mm

3. Chop the shallot very finely and pour half the lemon juice over the shallots

4. Mixed salt, sugar and pepper and season well with a this mixture salmon

6. Add shallot, rest of juice, dill.

7. Let salmon marinate at list 15 min.

Toast

Ingredients:

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • Homemade marinated salmon (or store-bought)
  • Lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive or pumpkin oil
  • Cream cheese
  • Salad leaves
  • Capers
  • Few slices of cucumber

Instructions:

  1. Toast the bread slices until golden brown.
  2. While the bread is toasting, prepare the avocado by cutting it in half, removing the pit, and scooping out the flesh into a bowl.
  3. Mash the avocado with a fork until it reaches your desired consistency. Add a squeeze of lemon juice, salt, and pepper to taste. Mix well. I like add pumpkin oil.
  4. Spread a layer of cream cheese on each slice of toasted bread.
  5. Spread the mashed avocado on top of the cream cheese.
  6. Place slices of homemade salted salmon on the avocado.
  7. Add a handful of salad leaves on top or bottom of the salmon.
  8. Sprinkle some capers over the salad leaves.
  9. Add few slices of cucumber or optionally, add any additional toppings or seasonings of your choice.
  10. Serve the toast immediately and enjoy!
