Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of fresh fruit (such as strawberries, mangoes, or peaches)
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice

Instructions:

  1. Wash and prepare the fruit by removing any stems, seeds, or pits.
  2. Place the fruit in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
  3. In a small saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  4. Once the sugar syrup has cooled, add it to the fruit puree along with the lemon juice. Stir well to combine.
  5. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions. This usually takes about 20-30 minutes.
  6. Transfer the sorbet to a lidded container and freeze for at least 2 hours to firm up before serving.
  7. Scoop the sorbet into bowls or cones and enjoy!

If you don’t have an ice cream maker, you can still make sorbet by pouring the mixture into a shallow dish and freezing it. Every 30 minutes, take it out of the freezer and stir vigorously to break up any ice crystals. Repeat this process until the sorbet reaches the desired consistency.
